Kevin Borlée had just won silver with the Belgian 4x400m relay team and was a spectator to his girlfriends 4x400m relay. The men’s 4x400m relay was right before the women’s 4x400m relay.
Camille started in first place for her 400m as anchor leg (the runner who runs last in a relay race) but only finished 4th and was therefore incredibly disappointed after finishing.
With a new national record and some incredible opponents like The Netherland’s Femke Bol they can still be proud of their achievement despite the lack of a medal.
