
In Saving Private Ryan (1998), the two surrendering soldiers in the scene are not speaking German, but Czech. They say “Please don’t shoot me. I am not German, I am Czech, I didn’t kill anyone.” Since these soldiers are Czech, they were most likely conscripted into the German Army

Yeah, I remember watching that and I thought it was interesting they didnt have subtitles or translation shown for that scene, so the audience is kept in the dark not unlike the American soldiers. And only a few Czech speakers know what hes saying.
