Was killing some time on YouTube and saw a new trailer for a film from A24. Saw some coastline/countryside and I thought it looked Irish, then I saw the houses and I knew it filmed and based in Ireland.
It does look chilling and it did make me remember the feeling of how isolating small communities can be, that could be bias showing though. It does look good and i like trying to support Irish stuff when I can. Just thought I should it share it
Everytime I see Paul Mescal all I can think of is the Bali Hanus ad!
Ah, A24 doing their film again. Time.to change it up.
Why are so many Irish movies like this? Usually some combination of grim/bleak/depressing/emotionally wrenching dramas. We do have a great comedy every few years though so that helps I guess.
It does look good but for once I’d like to see a decent Irish movie thats not set in some totally isolated location with inexplicable accents where you don’t know if it’s 1980 or 2002
