Poland’s army-short video

  1. We saw how much such videos are worth with Russia and VDV in particular.

The Polish army has few good units – especially GROM special forces. In general, it’s almost as filled with corruption, nepotism, and fake reports as Russia.

  2. Nah, thats not true. Just becouse my country got popular recently doesnt mean its any good.

  3. Lol, yeah, isn’t it the same army that photoshopped headgear to their promo pics?

  4. If not for cringe music I’d say it’s a decent promo video. Tho NATO’s similar videos are way better, and Polish army is mentioned there fairly frequently.

  5. I think the original post misspelled “underequipped”

  6. Thanks to what I saw on the “second world army” I am not going to believe in a fancy propaganda videos until I see it im real circumstances and this is related to all the armies (except US, because they show us constantly the military power that they have)
By the way, I hear very good things from them

  7. All these fancy videos are garbage. Army is only proven on the battlefield. Ask me on 23 Feb if Russia will not be able to take all of the Ukraine in one quick swoop and Ukrainians will be able to put russian soldiers into the graves by the hundreds and thousands – I’d laugh into your face. And yet here we are.

  8. Problem is that there is no good metric to assess an army. The only way is to see them in combat, and we are not talking “Afghanistan” kind of combat. Even that however, has to be taken with caution. Ukraine is the best example of that. As heroic and righteous their fight is, its not just down to Ukrainian military. Significant part of their success has been NATO’s training, intelligence and equipment.

One thing that can be said for certain, is that Polish army is modernising, however, military experts are not certain if that’s the right direction. Our recent purchases seem rather questionable from the perspective of our own doctrine, some even claim they are simply political.

Anyways, the only way to see how the army really performs, is something we would rather avoid.
