I always let them sit on me just so i can kill them afterwards
I had a candle on my table once (lit, ofc) and a mosquito flew through the flame and turned into a firefly for a couple of seconds before finally turning into a small pile of ash.
FYI this year is quite “mosqito free” in Poland. Most people says it’s due to this year high temps, second to none rainfalls and insane population of wasps.
Usually it’s alot worse.
where in Poland do you live? Havent been bit in Warsaw all year

I strongly recommend installing a mosquito net in your windows, even the cheap ones that are held with a self-adhesive velcro-like thingy. I have these nets in every room and I’m living a insect-free life while sleeping with the window open. Seriously, it’s one of the best purchases I ever made.

I haven’t seen any mosquitoes this year, but there are a lot of wasps and something called “meszka”. meszka is worse than a mosquito because it does not bite, but tears the skin and drinks blood.
