  1. “Senior Coroner for Essex Lincoln Brookes set a date for the full inquest into Archie’s death for February 7 next year. He told the court that an inquest would be to learn who died, and where, when, and how they came about their death, with “no one being on trial” during an inquest.”

  2. I don’t think anybody will get any answers out of this. Despite being a headline case, and somewhat interesting in terms of the life support question, the rest is somewhat sadly routine. Expect a ruling of death by misadventure or similar. I’ll be surprised if they even rule it to be suicide given the murky evidence, though they might – I believe there were some changes in the burden of proof a few years back.

Either way, this is a routine inquest and I doubt there’ll be anythng massively interesting to take away.

  3. Yes, he’s dead, which is very unfortunate.

He was dead in April, too, but his crazy family and the Fundamentalist Christian ghouls dragged this out until August with a media circus.
