This probe has a conservative majority. So… is she saying Tory MPs can’t be trusted?
It’s interesting how invested they are in defending him even though his position is effectively indefensible. Their logic seems to be that it’s somehow unfair that he suffers the consequences of his actions and that only someone vindictive would actually care about the rules enough to ensure Johnson is punished. It does say rather a lot about how they view themselves and the rest of us but I suppose when you view yourself as above the law it feels unjust to actually be caught out.
I somewhat suspect they think Liz Truss is going to screw things up so badly they will be able to bring back Johnson for the next General Election if he can get away with this and spin the narrative that his downfall was all just politics.

I think it is about time Nadine Dorries shut her flipping mouth. She’s not doing either candidate any good or harm and just making herself look bad and we’d all be better off just not hearing from her.
