There were some XR folk building a bamboo structure in the car park of the complex my sister lives in. When the met got wind of it they sent 50ish officers to occupy the car park and a fucking helicopter to hover overhead for 4 hours, not letting anybody in or out. So if you’re wondering why the cost is so high or why they won’t investigate most crimes its because their main priority is policing bamboo related crime.
