I was a senior officer – and even I struggle to get the police to investigate crimes | Dal Babu

  1. You got to blame to (non-)justice system here for this.

Thanks to the lenient as all hell courts and soft judges, there’s just no incentive for pursuing criminals anymore. Why go through all the efforts of investigating a serious crime, spending all that time, money and resources, collecting all the pieces of evidence, finding and apprehending the culprit, only for some out-of-touch judge backed up by a shoddy overrun prison system to hand that criminal a 2 week community order and pathetic £50 fine.

I respect the hardworking members of the police force a huge amount for what they do, but they are totally let-down and handicapped by the entire shitty system above them. At this point, it’s all so fucked up, that we’d see better justice being served if we just all turned into some kind of wild vigilante state – which is insanity.
