YouGov has too strong ties to the Tory party for me to trust them to be neutral.
It seems reasonable to think that those with a mental illness might need medications that affect their mental state. There are large numbers of mainly women, suffering from Chronic Pain that could be helped by substances that, because they are also criminalised as drugs, their medicinal uses are curtailed. This article doesn’t help Brits in pain get alternatives to the killing opioids they currently use. Pull your finger out and allow the import of marijuana based pain killers (from Jamaica?), rather than waiting for something a UK based drug company can patent!
YouGov polls have no integrity, I really think we should just ignore them from now on
First of, I would like to congratulate drugs for winning the war on drugs!
Secondly, I think it would serve everyone much better if the government just legalised, taxed, and regulated *all* drugs.
A drug reform would be nice, a variety of drugs in a moderate way really aren’t harmful in the same way beer is, it’s just that like in prohibition in the USA it’s more profitable for people to make and sell stronger, harder products.
People see it like it’ll be people spiced out all over the place but street drugs are moonshine, they’re absinthe.
It’s just that it’ll take a generation to get people off the hard stuff. I say reform, give addicted people support and the drugs they need to function FOR FREE, destroy the street market and then… Order a weed gummy with your pint and have a slightly more relaxed night. Huzzah
