Finland’s PM is a young woman in power. Her partying is the total opposite of disgrace

  1. It’s the biggest non-issue in the world. I don’t think her critics realise how much damage they’re doing to their position. Especially with their constant lies about it.

  2. That her normieness rather than her foreign policy decisions take the spotlight speaks volumes about the geopolitical bloc.

Incidentally, normies’ ways of pursing what they consider to be happiness, at least in WEIRD¹ countries, really are shallow, inane, and trite.

  3. I don’t think it was necessarily the partying. While she’s allowed to enjoy herself, she is a human after all, I believe it was more about the alleged claims of cocaine at the parties, the alleged video of her cosying up to another male who isn’t her husband and the use of an government residence as location of at least one of these parties.

While personally I don’t care much and it’s something that only Finnish people can really approve or disapprove of, it does seem rather unprofessional for a head of state to have 3 or 4 of these incidents come to the front especially in such a short space of time. I do think it’s been amplified though for political gain of her opposition.

  4. “Young” compared to the other dinos in Politics. But come on, 36 is not really young. By 30s, most people are over clubs and the wild parties. But anyway, to each their own.

I would be more worried about the likes of social media “influencers” partying it up and waltzing around the official residence of the Prime Minister of Finland.

  5. Disappointed in some Finns here for getting so worked up about these videos. This is Europe, you do not need to be a Taliban morality police.

  6. How about we just don’t make this situation anything bigger than it is? It’s just a person doing something fun in her free time, that’s all there is to it. Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing great about it. It’s non-news.
