Just a positive post to make people a bit happier about our capital. Hopefully, they’ll all go ahead. We need more spaces and places to have some fun.

Dublin’s new buildings and quarters are looking very promising:

Do you know about any other nice stuff in development in Dublin at the moment?

  1. Agreed it looks fantastic, and would modernize our capital by increasing density and improving the appearance.

Unfortunately these renderings are based on what’s including in the planning submissions, and are subject to approval.

The arts center design for example is only viable due to its size, if the planning authority reject the proposed height, concessions would need to be made on the amenities. There’s 250,000sf of office space on this development, which would rent at €50/sf – €60/sf. If the planning authority rejects on the basis of height, and only 125,000sf gets built, you’ll see a notable change to the amenities and general look & feel.

There’s a huge appetite for investment in our Capital, but for whatever reason our planning authority wants to stand in its way.

  2. Dublin’s biggest problem is its people. No point in having nice places to eat outside if you get endless hassle from the natives looking for a few euro, or trying to stomp your head in on the Luas on the way home.

  3. It’s great to see some positive stuff being done or planned. But I can’t stop thinking of the developments looking like South Parks SodoSopa.
