I know we all like to jump on the ‘imagine if it was a male teacher…’ and that can be a valid point, but in this situation she was drunk, in a nightclub, where 17 year old students shouldn’t even be able to enter in the first place. If she got drunk at a school disco and did it that would be a different matter. I don’t know. I think this could be an honest fuck up that doesn’t define her as a teacher.

Most lads that age would enjoy the attention, remember having crushes on teachers at 6th form. However, now at the age of 34 it’s pretty disgusting and glad nothing like that happened to me.
My sisters friend slept with a maths teacher for a while when she was in Y11, my sister knew but nobody else. About 3 years later she went to therapy for eating disorders and she mentioned it to the therapist who then immediately told the police. The police turned up at our house and were pushing for a statement from my sister wanting her to stand up in court and give evidence. So they don’t mess about when it’s a guy involved. This teacher pleaded guilty and got struck off
As a teacher I think she should be permanently struck off. Parents entrust teachers to maintain appropriate relationships with children in their care, there is no greater breach of standards in this job than to become intimate with your own students in any setting.
