We’ve voted on this stuff twice already .. and last time it was a clear YES.
I get that there are plenty of pacifists in Switzerland who don’t want us to buy any weapons.
Surely recent events show that Europe is not super stable ..
Other countries – especially Germany – chronically underfunded & made crazy decisions about their military & economic & energy security over many years ..
Don’t let Switzerland do the same! We have no allies to bail us out!
Besides the military question, people behind this referendum kinda disrespect democracy.
We had a vote on whether or not we wanted to let the government use x amount of money to buy whichever aircrafts they wanted. We voted yes they can use said amount of money as they want to buy the aircraft they want. Which they did.
And now this referendum directly goes against the previous choice….
And now going back to the military question. Why the fuck are we asking farmers, biologists and bakers which military aircraft corresponds to Switzerland’s military needs ?
