Honestly, why would anyone bother? They’ve already told us they have no interest in having any consequences for the attackers. It’s literally impossible to fail the GYDP, once they’re in they have total immunity and there’s no amount of evidence that can undo it.
If it’s impacting tourism, will the government finally care?

Ok, I’m not advocating a severe law and order policy with armed quasi-military police etc. But if this person is proven to have injured this tourist like they say then he should be in custody for 10 years (15 if he was over 18). His parents should also be heavily penalised; either fined massively or if they have no income, their welfare should be reduced.
Somewhere he learned that this was ok, this needs to be radically unlearned by people like him and this won’t happen without decisive action on the policing and sentencing front.

The only way to get anything done about these attacks and the fact no serious deterrents are being handed down is to hit the pockets of vested interests in tourism and see how fast the pressure would come on
