Can someone tell me what this is?

  1. Vörösboros marhapörkölt tarhonyával (slow cooked beef stew with paprika and red wine, with a side dish of small egg based noodles)

    What is missing from the picture is a small dish of pickles: hot chilly peppers stuffed with cabbage, Salzgurken (salted and fermented cucumbers). And of course a healthy slice of white bread, because how else we could sponge up the last remaining drops of sauce from the plate (this is called _tunkolni_)

    And it’s accompanied by a bottle of full body red wine (or, as I prefer, 2 big glasses of lager)

  2. Thank you for quick responses everyone. I had ordered beef stew, after leaving the restaurant we were wondering what the side was. It was delicious, from Getto Gulyas in Budapest.

  3. Értem én, hogy étterem, de lapos tányéron ilyen híg szaftos pörkölt tarhonyával (összekeverés nélkül ofkórsz) villával az azért szopatás kategória.

  4. A nokedli vs tarhonya vita alapján sokan még nem láttak dörzstarhonyát, csak a menzás sörétet. Pedig jól lepirítva köröket ver a sörétre marhapörivel. Nyami!
