  1. > Experts from the National Drought Group have since warned of widespread crop failures across England. According to leaked documents seen by the Guardian, the group has raised concerns that half of the potato crop could fail as it cannot be irrigated owing to hosepipe bans, and that crops that are usually drought-tolerant, such as maize, have been failing.

    > They are also expecting losses of 10-50% for crops including carrots, onions, sugar beet, apples and hops. Milk production has dropped nationally because of a lack of food for cows, and wildfires are putting large areas of farmland at risk.

Probably even even worse across the Channel. So we have drop in hop production, and wine production is likely to be absolutely awful, across the continent, overall, not great.

  2. Wait, are they expecting me to buy a tomato that’s not perfectly round?? How dare they! /s

But for real, people. Even if for some reason you refuse to eat a carrot because it has a weird shape, just chop it and use it for soup. They are still normal veggies and fruit, a little discoloured spot doesn’t make a difference.

  3. Been a thing here for a few Weeks, basically a Paper Bag with dented/damaged Stuff.Somestimes just one blemish in a whole Box of Grapes or something.

It’s 3€ for roughly 3kg of various Stuff.

Lots of fruit Salad was had.Did not get lucky recently tho, people snatch em up early.Usually only the ones with the likes of Broccoli or some such are left when I show up around 8.

Good Idea anyway. And when in doubt – Cheese & Broccoli Soup!
