  1. This is why you shouldn’t lock your knees while standing; it disrupts blood flow and will eventually cause you to pass out.

  2. Oddly enough his fall matches the way Collins fall is described. Onto his face. One of those weird coincidences.

  3. This happened me twice as an Alter boy in front of a packed mass.

It’s so embarrassing when you wake up

  4. First school assembly every year. September 3rd and usually hot. Not used to standing in situ for so long after the summer. There was always one fainter. Was nearly myself one year.

  5. These troops probably had to be in barracks about 4-5 hours before this ceremony.
    Drew weapons from the stores.
    Transported to the parade area.
Waited about for an hour or two.
Got into position a good hour before the ceremony commenced.
More than likely standing at attention for a good hour before this happened.
Mid 20°c in full service dress number ones.
So much for duty of care to employees

  6. We had two models for mock leaving cert art exam faint one after another. The teacher had them posing standing up. It was a shit show. Luckily they were caught as they fainted. Everyone wants to be a model until it’s time to do model shit.

  7. The peakers was too tight and I can nearly guarantee he was standing in that spot for hours before doing rehearsals, not drinking water because he’d need to go to the toilet mix that with a bit of heat and boom, happens alot believe it or not

  8. How is not locking your knees such a well known avoidance technique for fainting? Today was my first time hearing this and I’m in my 50’s! What other nuggets of wisdom do y’all have?.
