This is why you shouldn’t lock your knees while standing; it disrupts blood flow and will eventually cause you to pass out.
The Taoiseach missed an opportunity here; he could have helped the solider
Tbf I’d collapse from exhaustion if I had to listen to that prick long enough
passed out similarly doing a guard of honour at a funeral.
Oddly enough his fall matches the way Collins fall is described. Onto his face. One of those weird coincidences.
Feel horrible for him
Feel bad for him but also glad he didn’t fall onto that bayonet
He was as white as a ghost before he fell. He could have really hurt himself with the bayonet
The buck on the left wouldn’t look at a pair of bare tits in solitary confinement
Have we heard that this lads alright ? Poor guy
Martin with his boring speeches
Poor guy! Hope he’s alright.
Micheal really is that boring
Nah sniper took him out ,and no one moved towards Martin
Did the guy behind him even notice? 😅
That is not the proper way to leave parade. His week is going to be fun.
Give that man a cup of BARRY’S TEA.
This is why you never hire a budget sniper.
This happened me twice as an Alter boy in front of a packed mass.
It’s so embarrassing when you wake up
Not drinking enough water and locking his legs.
First school assembly every year. September 3rd and usually hot. Not used to standing in situ for so long after the summer. There was always one fainter. Was nearly myself one year.
Himself and your man that slipped on the ice should meet up for a pint.
These troops probably had to be in barracks about 4-5 hours before this ceremony.
Drew weapons from the stores.
Transported to the parade area.
Waited about for an hour or two.
Got into position a good hour before the ceremony commenced.
More than likely standing at attention for a good hour before this happened.
Mid 20°c in full service dress number ones.
So much for duty of care to employees
Fuckwits on Twitter already saying it’s the vaccine. The internet was a mistake.
The sniper reappeared after 100 years!
One of the first things taught in boot camp is don’t lock your knees when you’re standing in formation.
Don’t lock your knees lad
Don’t lock your knees. Sorry friend. Almost went down once myself.
Cork lads shot another guy in the back from behind the bushes.
SNIPER ?!?!?? 😂 I do feel sorry for the lad, he’s probably going to get a ton of shite over this.
Don’t lock your knees in parade rest, kiddos.
Reeling in the years music intensifies
That guy on the right impulsively wants to help but then thinks “ah nope, can’t move” and gets back in position 😂
We had two models for mock leaving cert art exam faint one after another. The teacher had them posing standing up. It was a shit show. Luckily they were caught as they fainted. Everyone wants to be a model until it’s time to do model shit.
The peakers was too tight and I can nearly guarantee he was standing in that spot for hours before doing rehearsals, not drinking water because he’d need to go to the toilet mix that with a bit of heat and boom, happens alot believe it or not
How is not locking your knees such a well known avoidance technique for fainting? Today was my first time hearing this and I’m in my 50’s! What other nuggets of wisdom do y’all have?.
