Hi everyone, is this spider venomous?

1. Don’t think we have any venomous ones in Sweden

2. We don’t have any wild venomous spiders in Sweden. This looks like a husspindel (domestic house spider) which is not venomous – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tegenaria_domestica

   There are actually a lot of recent post about these on this sub if you check posts within the last week.

3. Most likely a “Större husspindel” and all Swedish spiders have venom. Just not any amount can hurt a human.

5. No venom but they can lay waste to large communities just through fear

6. That spider means you wont have to worry about many other friends wanting to eat your bread, fruit etc.

7. Almost every spider is venomous, just not to humans.

8. You don’t need to worry about any venomous animals in Sweden. While there are some that are venomous, their venom isn’t harmful to humans. The only exception would be if there are allergies involved.

   There are other things that one need to think about, such as tics and giant hogweed (jätteloka) that can harm you.
