The British government thinks moving back to the imperial system would be a “benefit”. Please prove them wrong by explaining all the benefits of metric and the negatives of the imperial system in this consultation.
Coming from the US and working for many years in Metrology stick with the metric system. I wish the US would getbaway from the imperial system, but people here are too stubborn to change.
I’m quite capable of using both and if traders wish to use one or the other, I’m quite happy for them to do that.
We use a mix in the UK as it is, allow either and let the market decide.
Oh, please please do it! And next is worshipping idols, burning witches! This will be so entertaining!
If im not mistaken, the British invented the imperial units and I dont care if they switch back tbh. They choose to leave the EU, any other mistake is just another mistake.
Its. its a feature !!! 😜
I do hope that by exactly the same reasoning they allow shopkeepers to list their products in Welsh, Scots, or Gaelic with no English translation.
Let’s have a consultation on going fully metric, too, while we’re at it. Pints (of beer) can stay, though
