WTF? Weirdest stuff I found in Norway. You need to put a paper bag in the toilet, after doing your business it’s get soaked and burned? Never seen stuff like this 😅 did you???

  1. Yep, there’s one at my parent’s cabin, and I know at least two other families with this type of toilet in their cabins. Easily the best non-water closet toilet. It’s even made in Norway, at Furuflaten.

  2. It is a very good burn-toilet. It can run on gas or electricity and the only biproduct is pure ash.

It is commonly used in cabins, where you dont have running water, sewer lines and/or electricity.

  3. It’s not something to have in the city. I have one in my cottage. It’s the best way there since I have only electricity, no water.

  4. It doesn’t get soaked, because this kind of toilet is used where there’s no waste plumbing, and often no water at all (although I see that one is next to a shower). It just burns it. We have one in our cabin, which only recently got electricity, and still doesn’t have any water. What do other countries do in that situation? Septic tank? Pit latrine?
