Spoken like a true revolutionary venture capitalist
“Give us the future..we’ve had enough of your past..give us back our country to live in—to grow in..to generate wealth for the shareholders”
I don’t see why Fine Gael seem to think that they’re entitled to the legacy of Collins (for good or ill).
He was only ever a member of Sinn Féin. Cumman na nGaedhal did not even form until the year after his death and FG over a decade later.
Claiming Collins was some sort of founding member of their party is fairly spurious.
Now explain what role the market played in killing millions of us in the famine.
That’s it the Treaty was the freedom to achieve freedom. . . for the markets.
What a gobshite
Literally using Collins to market their campaign that there will be no unification
Is this something he actually said as so hard to tell?
Are you never not at it? You spam these kinds of propaganda posts daily
Remember Leo’s dole cheats thing a few years back?
He’s utterly convinced the public are all thicks. The man’s an absolute gobshite.
I see we’re downplaying Michael Collins’ achievements to get at Leo now
Is confidence of the markets a euphemism for their loyalty to shareholders?
He’s making a fool of himself recently
The flying columns stole from businesses to feed themselves. They burned down Manor houses as retaliation for the burning of Republican homes and in some cases divided the land between the people who lived and worked on it. The democratic programme of the first dáil declared “we reaffirm that all right to private property must be subordinated to the public right and welfare.” The trade union movement was also involved in the independence movement with some railway workers refusing to carry British troops and supplies. Quite a lot of those involved in the struggle would have hated Fine Gael and what the country has turned into.
The idea that the IRA split in half to fight the civil war is a myth. The majority of the pre civil war IRA were on the Republican side. A significant portion of the free state army was comprised of ex British military and people who wanted closer ties to Britain rather than complete independence or people who didnt want changes to the class system. They executed more IRA volunteers than the british did.
The oath and partition were significant factors in the civil war but the class element is glossed over in the mainstream. The political movement that would become Fine Gael was founded in counter revolution
If you put a shit stain in a suit, and a silver spoon in his Daddy’s bollocks, you’d still find a better human produced in 9 months.
I miss James Connolly..
Snake 🙃
That’s his job
How much is it to hire a hitman?
Are politicians more expensive or what’s the story?
Fine Gael the party of the 25 county, Neo-liberal, Corporation of Ireland. (Donegal doesn’t count)
Makin an eejit of himself again
What the fuck is that supposed to mean. Like literally what he said it’s so nonsensical I need someone to explain to me how Leo thinks he makes sense.
beyond a parody, although in saying that there is the quote.. ‘The most radical revolutionary will become a conservative the day after the revolution’. (Hannah Arendt)
Dirty scumbag
How can I spin this patriot making the ultimate sacrifice for freedom into being a positive for capital
