Starmer should be ‘more upfront’ in supporting striking workers, says union boss

  1. He’ll wait until there’s a clear vocal majority for the strikes and then pretend he supported them all along.

  2. Is this the boss of the same union that has cut it’s funding of Labour?

The union is there to represent its members and get the best deal for its members – pay rises for them won’t help the rest of us pay our bills or help fund things that we rely on such as the NHS. The only way things get better for the all of us is if we get rid of the Tory government and quite rightly that is Starmer’s priority, not getting involved in pay disputes and strikes which will allow the Tories to say he is in the pocket of the unions.

You take care of your priorities Sharon and we’ll take care of ours.

  3. Please, he’s too good of a fence-sitter to do that!

He’ll never come down on either side of any fence. Not when he’s perfectly comfortable with having fences wedged firmly ‘twixt his buttocks.
