During their raid on the offices of Palestinian NGO Al Haq, Israeli occupation forces made the point of tearing down an Irish tricolour that hung on the wall

  1. The IDF can get fucked, because of how they treat Palestinians, the flag thing is like a toddler had a tantrum and threw an empty box on the floor to be dramatic.

  2. You’ll find pro-Palestinian flags at Celtic games, and pro-Israeli flags at Rangers games. You get the idea.

  3. When I was in Israel a few years ago, everyone I met loved Ireland. One of their presidents was born in Ireland (and who was the son of Ireland’s Chief Rabbi who was so supportive of independence, he was known as the Sinn Féin Rabbi) and Irgun adopted a lot of IRA and Sinn Féin tactics in their own struggle against the Brits in the 1940s.
They referred to themselves as the Zionist Sinn Féin, translated republican books into Hebrew and one of their leaders used Michael (from Michael Collins) as his wartime alias.

A Belfast tour guide I met said Israeli tourists were always dismayed to see that Loyalists flew the Israeli flag in a “what, **that’s** who’s on our side?” kind of way.

Things might have changed since I was there.

  4. I never understood why the UN never got involved keeping those vile fuckers from oppressing Palestinians. Surely that’s their job, even if America is an ally

  5. Ha!

The unionist have been shitting on the Tricolour since before we were free.

By all means, tear it down. You’ll never tear down the ideals it inspires.
