Homicides in Europe Tags:Europe 15 comments [Source](https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/VC.IHR.PSRC.P5). Created with MapChart. For the UK; [they had 0.99 in England and Wales in the year ending in March 2021](https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/articles/homicideinenglandandwales/yearendingmarch2021); given how Scotland and NI are usually a bit higher it would be in the 1.00 – 1.24 range, but not having the exact number I did not put it in. No idea why Belgium is so delayed. Note that as usual the numbers for very low population states (the microstates + Iceland, Luxembourg) are not that indicative and much more randomic. Russia declares itself as a country of „healthy”, conservative values. You can clearly see that on this map. For once, I’m glad to see a low number It’s actually kind of interesting how there is little obvious correlation apart from “Russia = bad”. I guess “Central Europe = good” is another pattern? Liechtenstein, Andorra, Baltic countries WTF? The Belgian statistician was unfortunately killed while gathering the data. The Vatican with 0 murders? That’s not what I read in Dan Brown’s books! What’s up with the difference between France and neighbouring countries? Do Russian homicides include suicide-murders as well lol What about heterocide? Tf are we Finns doing? Emanuela Orlandi in Vatican State: am I a joke to you? Inb4 you zoom out: USA 5. Brazil 30. Mexico 30. South Africa 35. Nigeria 35. Venezuela 37. Jamaica 47. El Salvador 53. Why is Liechtenstein and Andorra so red? And they all happen in Sandomierz. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
