Keir Starmer more trusted by public than Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss or Boris Johnson

  1. I’m not a big fan of Starmer but I trust labour more than any government run by either of the Tory candidates.

  2. Starmer isn’t my ideal PM, but he’s the best out of the current lot. Well, if Sturgeon was willing to run for it I’d vote for her in a heartbeat, but that’s not happening so Starmer will have to do.

  3. I’d still rather the greens, but yes I think in general his government would be less nakedly self interested than either a Sunak or Truss government.

  4. Yay!

    >While the number trusting Mr Starmer has remained unchanged on 30% since June 2020, the number distrusting him has risen from 19% to 33% overt he same period.

    Oh.

    >But among Labour voters, 45% said they trust him to tell the truth at least most of the time.

    Ough.

  5. I’d say i trust a fart when i’ve got food poisoning more than i trust those 3, but it’s not true. I completely trust them to absolutely fuck the country at any opportunity.

  6. This might be true… but its not our choice, is it?

The Conservatives will choose who the next PM is and there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it.

You can’t vote Labour until the next general election, in January 2025.

… but when I hear Liz Trus saying privately the British Public need to work harder… well… it just sounds like another out of touch conservative blaming the little man.

A bit like what Jacob Rees-Mogg does all the time, for example.

P.S. I personally think the Government need to work harder. They’ve had plenty of time and have only managed to put struggling businesses in a worse situation.

It’s a joke… They are a joke. But, in the end, the joke is on all of us, unfortunately.

  7. I view Starmer like I did Biden to Trump. He’s miles better than the alternative and the only viable option. I really like his deputy Angela Rayner however.

I’ll be voting Labour but there is a lot of work to do to convince other people to do the same. And they’re falling short of that at the moment.

  8. Proof that Starmer is trustworthy IMO is that the tabloid press have been desperately trying to find something to smear him with for years and have failed miserably every time. The closest they got was a couple of expense claims that were submitted a couple of days late.

  9. At this point, I’d like to see a few others for comparison.

I’m thinking Mr. Blobby and possibly Wee Jimmy Krankie.

  10. Say what you want about Starmer but he’s not some sleazy career politician like the rest. He actually worked for a living, rose to the top of his game before turning to politics.

I don’t particularly like him but I trust him more than any of those three.

  11. Tories lie to get into power then make things harder for everyone but the rich.

Everyone become sick of this so vote Labour.

Labour cannot fix the problems the conservatives have made in the time before the next election.

The tories blame Labour for all the problems.

    Everyone votes tories back.

    Rinse and repeat.

  12. I genuinely struggle to understand why people keep voting the Tories. I appreciate the vaccine rollout, but there has been nothing in the last 12 years that have made us richer, more United or better equipped to tackle the problems of the day.

I don’t get it. I guess the Tories just cater to the elderly who keep voting for then???? So depressing.

  13. Starmer is nowhere near perfect. And given we had a better voting system, he wouldn’t get my vote.

But you must have a PHD in clown studies if you think Keir is not the best bet to get the Tories out. He’s nowhere near perfect, but even in this disadvantaged state, he’s leagues ahead of the tory competition.

Y’know that trivia wherein an octopus or a goldfish can outcompete all those wall street hedge fund managers? I feel like we have a similar situation here. Literal, barely sentient animals can probably outperform the current government. It’s not a high bar. So it then becomes a case of who is most likely to secure the most votes. And like or not, it’s labour.
