why specificly swiss people? that seems kind of odd to me.
also swiss people online most of the time talk in swiss german or if they speak english/french/german they will be in a mixed nation group
so the best way to get swiss friends would be to actually get here

There are a lot of communitys it really depends on what your interests are. Generally if you Google in German and with a Schweizer (swiss) Infront you will find smt. You can also try some kind of writing “friendship”(brieffreundschaft).
Some general tips:
Dont be to agressive if it happens it happens. I have a friend that’s trying to find friends really hard and it’s just sad.
Try to avoid french. We are forced to learn it and we usually don’t like it.
If you are from a culture that interests them it’s a big Winn
Most of us aren’t used to very direct people so it is a bit wired for us if you just come and talk to us.
Where will you be studying? The three swiss parts (french/german/italian) have quite different vibes. And even then… one city to the next is also quite different. Lausanne is in my opinion friendlyier than Geneva, Zurich ppl party hard and are really fun, Fribourg has awesome bars and nightlife for instance There’s quite a few gaming bars where you’d meet like minded ppl in almost every town. And of course, school. School’s always the best to meet new people.

I saw some comments that said to join DnD groups and stuff like that, I don’t know much about gaming but sounds like a good start! And I really hope just this post will get you started on meeting ppl, hope my countrymates rally and give you an awesome welcome once you get here!
