They put the clubcard price in yellow because its eye catching. Most people will assume that’s the price. They get to the till and are charged a fortune and people just pay it
Would you not just get a club card? I don’t see what the issue is with getting one?
It was €4 for clubcard a few weeks ago
Just blame the government.. It’s easier that way
Got them yesterday, great value.
My favorites are the chocolate/peanut butter one and I saw online they were 2€ per box, they better have that discount in the shop too!
Thanks for letting me know! That’s great value. I’ll pop down with my (free) club card and get a few boxes!
My mum is a pensioner, she was giving out about the prices of food it’s ridiculous, she said she went to Tescos. I said mum you need to stop shopping there. Falling on deaf ears, she is blinded by Yellow labels, like a moth to a light bulb.
I forgot my card earlier asked person behind me in queue. Got 14 euro off my shopping they got my points. Happy days.
I just bit the bullet and got a clubcard you get cheaper prices and a few vouchers for 1 or 2 euro too.
It’s like everything that used to be on sale is now only on sale if you have a clubcard.
Clubcards are free, anybody can get one and they save you a lot of money if you regularly shop at Tesco.
It’s a great system unmatched by any other supermarket, I really don’t see the issue here?

Common practice in the shtates. Was wondering when it’d land in Ireland.
7up 2ltr is 2,80 it says normally but 2 with club card……lying gits…its a standard 2 everywhere
Just get a clubcard from them if you forgot yours. You don’t even need to register it in your name.
I avoid Tescos.
I don’t get why people are getting so annoyed with this. What’s stopping them from getting a card your not exactly committing to a mortgage.
Crazy bit of business….
Top tip: take a photo or screenshot of your card and keep it in your phone’s favourites!
My younger brother eats a ton of pringles, when I got my club card last year, offered him the spare one, he said no. Now when ever I see pringles on offer, I make a point to send him a picture, letting him know what he’s missing out on. Even when I have a money off voucher for dunnes yes like na. I hope he enjoys paying full price.
They’re 0 if you don’t buy them. Take that tescos.
Club cards are free…
forgot my card the other day, so just left and did my shopping at Lidl next door
Easy way to solve this is get a clubcard.
*Fuck Tesco!* I’ve switched to Supervalu & Iceland.
And if you’re a member of the Nazi party it’s only 1.50!
Just get a club card they’re free
When they started duel pricing to force me to sign up to their club card during a cost of living crisis is when I made the switch to Lidls
This is all so they can gather loads more data to sell on, they’re making 10s of millions a year selling buying trends etc
I don’t have a specific issue with that, just wish it was more transparent “Use our shopping tracker card for offers”.
I also think it’s only a matter of time before there’s a data breach at Tesco, their app is awful.
can someone explain to me why the whole world just went, ah look fuck it profiteering let’s fucken go
Was in tesco today and saw this. Might as well just get one, prices in general are in the shit anyway
It’s fkn crazy, comes across as greedy and weird. I do shop there quite a bit, but it’s pretty shitty. Especially unfair on the elderly and vulnerable people.
This whole overwhelming use of the Clubcard is why I’ve stopped going to Tesco.
Doing food shopping as someone who’s Autistic is hard enough let alone having items with multiple prices right beside each other.
At least in Lidi I can go during the Autism hours and shopping isn’t a confusing mess… kindof 😂
I work in a shop in skerries. We sell these for €2
Get a club card
