When I worked in France in the early 2000’s I have fond memories of flying from Lydd, with Lydd air and their Trislander to Le Touquet, I know it’s not Manston., but the airport at Lydd was so much easier to transition through than any of the other bigger airports, and it’s always nice to have options.
Seems unlikely when the roads nearby are so small and also no trains station nearby, will be good only for people living nearby and that’s it.
Just like ebbsfleet international is great if you leave next to it, now they close the Eurostar terminal with no date of return
Isn’t it a bit close to London for Ryanair? After all they fly to Bratislava for Vienna and Malmo for Copenhagen, and they are not in the same country.
Oooooh! I grew up right next to Manston (Kent International) Runway… Many fond memories of airshows and crazy rare aircraft. Got to see the An-225 and Concorde a few times as well as A-10’s, AWACS a few times and so on
