  1. the source is the turkish defence ministry. the greek government has denied it. will add source of the greek government denying it when i find one in english

edit: im talking about the s300 incident, not the incident in slovakia

  2. Not that those planes didn’t get locked but it was not from S-300.

“the interception is carried out by our Fighter Aircraft in accordance with the International rules according to standard practice”

  3. Let’s see mental gymnastics here if other way was happening. Insults, Take out of NATO and lots of bullshit would be around. A NATO member using Russian air defence actively against a sanctioned NATO member due buying Russian Air Defence System. Mad! I guess Greek PM needs a distraction for spying scandal ongoing on Greece

  4. Another friendly radar lock by Greek Air forces just 4 days ago against Turkish Aircraft **on NATO Mission** to protect an American B-52, **in Slovakian airspace, reported by Bulgarian Authorities.**

    >During the operation conducted in Slovakian airspace to protect NATO’s eastern flank, Turkish F-16s were tasked with protecting American B-52s loaded with AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missile munitions. However, during the said activity, combat aircraft associated with the Greek Air Force placed radar locks on Turkish F-16s on NATO duty.

  5. It’s just Turkish propaganda to create backround for other provocations. They do it for all their existence and out of a sudden Greece is bad? Are you mad people?

Turkish Fighters over Greek lands, Islands and EEZ everyday. They probably lock them and should lock them every single time. They have no business there.

Fitting S-300 to make them feel the bad guys is ridiculous. First of all, Greece gave them to Cyprus a long time ago. Secondly, Cyprus sent them to Ukraine, thus the USA lifted the Embargo and Israel sold them Iron Dome.

What a sorry excuse of a rogue state.

  6. Imagine the reaction of the USA/NATO and the EU if Turkey did the same to the Greek jets performing NATO missions with the S-400.

I remember that before the start of the Ukraine-Russia war, France even condemned Turkey for using the TB2s against Russia by the Ukrainian forces, and they criticized the sale of the TB2s to Ukraine.

Hypocrisy against Turkey is on another level.

  7. [Here’s how ONYX SWING is done](https://newsbulletin247.com/opinion/159962.html)

Countries escort B-52 bombers inside their FIR and when they arrive in the next country’s FIR they pass the escort to that country’s airforce. They don’t march into their neighbour’s FIR pretending that they’re on a NATO mission just so that they can afterwards complain about being harassed. Now since this insident happened west of Rhodes, Turkish jets were definitely inside Athens FIR.

Btw during 4000+ airspace violations by Turkey this year alone we’ve scrambled F-16’s, why the fck would we use our S-300 (which we activate only during allied training missions) in this particular case when there’s a US bomber involved? I mean we would’ve used our Patriots if it was that urgent …. That’s some serious low effort propaganda right there lmao

  8. Is this article bullshit ? It talks about a lock and then talks about jamming. Those are two different things.

  9. I hate nationalists of all ethnicities. What aboutism and nothing more. Congratulations for Greece to making it to the list, and Turks for reminding yet again why they always bene there.

This is an unfortunate accident, i am not sure it happened by s300’s, as some sources claim and deny, but an accident non the less.
