So there’s this village and recently I’ve realized what a nonsense its name has to be to people that are learning polish lol! Do you guys have any more weirdly hard village/town names to pronounce?

  1. Murzasichle, it’s difficult to pronounce even for natives

  2. This is why I love Tuchola. Easy enough to pronounce, excellent hotdogs at Żabka.

  3. Dzierążnia.
    Paary.
    Skarżysko.
    Żdżanne.
    Pcim.
    Krościenko.
    Szczawnica.

I can do this all day.

  4. There is a Tropsztyn Castle in Wytrzyszczka in Czchów county

  5. Żarnówka

Often misunderstood with Żarówka, which means light bulb

  6. Casually scrolling through Reddit and seeing a place that is like a kilometer away from my home lmao.

  7. Białe, village area is not whit at all barring couple houses, neither is the lake of the same name

  8. Dobre. Tak, miejcowość, która nazywa się Dobre. Po prostu.

  9. Zimna Wódka. Not weirdly hard to pronounce but funny

  10. I live 10km~ from this village. Locals are calling it “pożarło” / “pożadło” because it’s easier to pronounce without “Ź”.

  11. Szlasy Bure gmina Płoniawy Bramura powiat Maków Mazowiecki

  12. I know that place!

The funny thing is, that the locals are usually dropping “ź” sound and simplify the pronounciation to “Porzadło”.

Also please remember about nearby attraction “Wzgórze Poźrzadelskie” (the hill with tourist walking path and bike track, leading to the great lookout at the village). Try to ask about it if you’re not native speaker 😀

  13. Just blindly point at a spot on the map. You’ll find something nearby.

I just did that. I found czekarzewice drugie and czekarzewice pierwsze
