What a stupid thing to urge her about, this is between a Labour run council and their workers, every other council is fine with their refuse services.
If all the other councils who also get their funding from the SNP/Green government had strikes like this then I’d make sense to complain to the Scottish Government but not just for one council.
The council need to pay them more ! The streets are covered in rubbish it’s embarrassing. But not to the bin men, to the council. It’s only been a couple of days and it just shows how hard they work with how much rubbish has accumulated in those few days. Edinburgh desperately needs a tourist tax
During the pandemic lots of NHS office staff were diverted to do portering and other jobs in hospitals.
What can’t council leaders and other council employees in certain depts (parking fine dept especially 😉) clean the litter?
Edinburgh MSPs and their staff too.
Lots sitting doing f’lol in Saughton prison.
Students could be paid to clear litter.
The problem is no contingency plans ever made and all looks like a surprise.
Incompetent council and Scottish government.
