The cause is good but the way to do it just means they are assholes.
Why inconvenience people? They aren’t the ones deciding on this. Most might even support the cause if done right.

I have a bike myself and use it. I understand it is better for your health and the environment to cycle instead of driving **when practical**. The problem is that it’s not always fucking practical to cycle.
Someone driving on the motorway probably has a pretty good reason to be driving on the motorway, it’s not like some retard who drives 300m to buy a pack of cigarettes because he was too lazy to walk. As if there aren’t enough traffic jams on German motorways as it is, you need to have these losers as well.
Also, the fuck was the police doing? As far as I know bikes aren’t allowed on the motorway.
So much hate in these comments. Cars have destroyed so many cities, and have such a terrible impact on human health and the climate. These people are simply protesting against the auto-industry, which still has such a massive impact on German politics.
I cycle to work every day in a big German city, and it’s actually terrible. Shitty to no cycling infrastructure in a major city is a massive oversight, which is long over due to be corrected.
No ons is saying you should cycle 50km+ to work every day, but more than 50% of all car trips in and around cities are under 3 kilometers, and the vast majority of those should be replaced with bike rides, look at the Netherlands.
It was a protest which got approved and escorted by the police on a sunday. They weren`t crazies who drove simply on the motorway to annoy people!
