Britain prizes diversity above talent, says ANDREW NEIL

  1. Who gives a fuck what he thinks. Countries about to go down the shitter and this rich prick (that doesn’t even live here) thinks this is an issue. Fuck right off.

  2. We’ve got actually major issues to deal with fuck the bullshit culture war crap the cost of living crisis needs fixing

  3. Don’t they get tired of attempting to create and stir this culture war nonsense between all of us ? Energy bills are sky high, some people can barely afford to feed themselves, rent is soaring through the roof. They try to distract us from the very present and real dangers that we are faced with.

  4. Filling quotas based on race or gender instead of experience or talent. Who are the real racists? The ones who ignore race and see the person underneath or the ones desperately trying to appeal to the race or gender? I think most people are sick of when it comes to June and literally every company or entity that has a logo(apart from Middle East branches) switches to a rainbow version and releases a LGBTQIA+ and whatever other letters are on that acronym now. Its not being a good company. Its to increase sales and fill quotas. That I think is a lot closer to being prejudice. That is a floor lower then just saying “I hate gay people.”

  5. After watching centrist commentators do a big cum over the diversity of the Johnson cabinet despite it being entirely comprised of completely inept bastards, I can’t say that he’s wrong?

  6. The problem is we have a bunch of twats who all went to the same school together now running the country. Their main goal is to enrich themselves and when the opportunity comes, clammer over each other for a better position.

But as a mixed raced lad I do find it strange how during every job application I apply for now, I have to disclose my race, sexuality and parents financial situation whilst I was growing up.
It can sometimes make you feel like your a box to be ticked.

  7. Only place I’ve ever lived that enforced diversity works was in Singapore.

My UK university tries to enforce this with endless required seminars and policy doctrine on the evils of the UK, Europe and the West (decolonisation) in general and the moral, political and cultural superiority of the Global South to include the PRC, India and the Global South.

It was so bad that it was suggested we don’t teach or allow Western social media (I use YouTube for additional study materials and students use WhatsApp for study guides.) We were told to force our home students to use YouKu and WeChat to appease our foriegn Chinese students, what cannot access these.

  8. Have you seen the incompetency in the tory party? Bills will be above £4,000 soon, don’t be distracted. We have a government trying to make protesting and striking illegal. Do not be distracted.

  9. I’m not white but he is partially right. Even I can see it in the media, where diversity is being chosen just for the sake of it even if they lack talent.

  10. Have to say I agree with him. I work in an industry where being white and male is an actual disadvantag e.

People from minority groups need support but one of the worst performing groups educationally and economically are young white men from deprived areas.

  11. He’s absolutely right but ‘right wing extremist hating diversity’ will be the headline the majority of the commenter see in the comment section.

  12. There are a great many jobs and positions especially in the civil service and emergency services where they will only take BAME applicants and will not entertain anyone that doesn’t fit that criteria regardless of merit. That does exist, it’s a thing that happens, the only issue you can have, as someone who values truth, is whether it’s common enough to make the statement that Britain itself prizes diversity above talent.

EDIT: I will say that the Armed Forces is an entirely different bag because nobody as a new joiner is expected to already have skills and experience of the military, so it makes sense that they would run campaigns and focus on attracting BAME people to the forces.

  13. I totally agree with him .
Too many companies having to choose diversity over people who can actually do a job

  14. It’s a fair comment. You only need to look at weekend television to see that. But he will be chastised for this as per.

  15. It genuinely is leaning that way, not just because of the RAF hiring issue but I’m sure many others have examples they can point to. I know I do.

  16. There’s a lot of internships/entry level roles that will hire you only if you are disabled or BAME. He’s right, but no one wants to admit this.
