  1. You can re-start the machine to get rid of stuck programs or a like. Usually done by pressing two buttons simultaneously. You can google the instructions. You should be able to find the mark&maker on a sticker on the side.

  2. On the left side of the opened lid, you should find a type label. The number is the “E-Number” which you can enter on this website for a manual to download:

    [https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/fi/huolto/tekninen-tuki/kayttoohjeet?intcid=search_manuals%7E%7E%7EImprint%7E](https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/fi/huolto/tekninen-tuki/kayttoohjeet?intcid=search_manuals%7E%7E%7EImprint%7E)

The manual includes a checkup routine that should be performed before calling customer service:

    * Clean the filter in the bottom of the maschine.
    * Remove the grid in the bottom and check for remainders that might be stuck in the pump inlet. (What our, could be broken glass)
    * some more which I can’t remember right now. Check the manual.

I can’t really see which of the three lights are actually on but it looks like only the double arrow? That means you need to add salt. (That is unrelated to the faulty behavior).

I find it curious that none of the LEDs for the washing program is shining. Or is it flashing and you took the pic during the OFF phase?

  3. Have you cleaned thoroughly the crap filter at the bottom of the machine? I ended up with a weird set of behaviors then mine was almost blocked. And it was a Siemens also. Is the machine your own or part of the apartments “furniture”? If latter, call the maintanance, it’s their problem to get it fixed.

  4. If you hear it hissing non-stop, you are probably hearing the pump removing water from the machine. This is usually because it has detected water under the dishwasher.

It does not necessarily mean that the machine is leaking, water might end up there e.g. If the lid is semi-open and you spill water there.

There should be a plate at the bottom under the lid, if you remove it you should see under the machine and could see if there is water there.

  5. It may have a (small) internal water leakage, water ends up in a “bowl” in the the bottom of the machine (where water pumps and electronics etc are) and there is a styrofoam float which triggers emergency mode on – water pump runs continuously until power is plugged off.

    Time to get new machine.

  6. If you have tried resetting (apparently yes), your water knob for the machine is open etc. Check that there’s nothing blocking the movement if the spray thingy inside the machine nor blocking the drain inside the machine

  7. Just making sure, is the dishwasher yours or landlord’s? If latter, it’s their problem to sort out.

  8. If it is stuck in rinse there is most propably a leakage detected. You to call service to come over.

  9. You can see that little hole next to the blade at the bottom. There are few parts that can get stuck with dirt so I would remove that and clean it. I have the same model and it has atleast once been stuck

  10. Also check that draining is connected to proper drain, not the “dummy plug” on the below sink housing. Saw this 2 months ago at friends place.
