  1. The audacity of these police officers enjoying time with the community. They should be miserable and angry all the time look us boomers /s

  2. Can we complain it’s naff? I don’t care about the optics or whatever, it’s just shite.

Shite dance, shire music and it’s not entertaining just cause they’re the police and also dancing.

  3. They only fury is see is from backward pricks who watch GB News and have nothing better to do with the lives.

The rest of the country isn’t bothered. If the police had time to show good humour and build bridges with the community- good for them .

  4. It’s usually possible to dismiss these ‘LBC twitter outrage’ stories because they’re based on half a dozen responses, but in this case there appear to be _many hundreds of people_ who are traumatised by the sight of officers engaging with gayers when they should actually be locking them up, or investigating the theft of Mr Thompson’s lawnmower.

  5. It could be argued that if the four Officers can be in the same location doing the Macarena, then someone isn’t allocating resources effectively. Two of those officers could be elsewhere, you know…investigating crimes and stuff, rather than policing an event that probably doesn’t need much policing.

If they are there representing the force on paid overtime then again I would say that was misallocation of resources.

I would rather have an efficient and effective police force, and think their time would be better spent doing other things than stewarding an event that doesn’t need it, or PR.

  6. If I busted a move I’d imagine the country would turn on me ( and rightfully so) ahah. They’re having fun, it s a silly dance live and let live :p

  7. Who the bloody hell cares about what a bunch of sad twats think? Yes, the old bill were there to police the event – but that doesn’t mean that have to be a load of grizzle guts. If the mood is light and there is a party atmosphere seeing the thin blue line getting into the same mood will help to create a cheerful atmosphere.

  8. The Macerana is one of the better dances for the police to do, as it allows them to assess for threats in 4 different directions!

  9. The police _finally_ do something to build support and show they’re part of the community and the right wingers get all outraged.

  10. Lmao I saw a comment about how these officers should be ‘solving crimes’ instead of engaging with the community. But surely they would have been at the event regardless, as with any large event. The argument is rubbish and clearly these right wing commentators are using it as a vehicle to voice their frustration about Pride/LGBT in general.
