  1. ‘She is genuinely remorseful’ – but not enough to have paid the money back? No court order to pay the money back and only a suspended sentence. I’d be feeling pissed at that outcome if I was the victim.

  2. Should have been forced to pay it back and had a custodial sentence. What an abuse of trust

  3. > “A conviction of this type is going to make further employment prospects difficult. Her marriage ended after 36 years. Her husband wants nothing to do with her.”

Let’s not act as if she does not deserve this. She will never get a job in healthcare again and she is very, very lucky the sentence is a suspended sentence as it stands. She abused a position of trust and does not deserve to have another chance to be in that position again.

  4. FOR FUCKS SAKE , NURSING ASSISTANT ISN’T THE SAME AS A NURSE. this is just a fucking smear campaign because nurses are about to strike, you realise that guys? Obviously, FUCK THIS WOMAN , she should be required to pay all the stolen money back and deserves what she got, BUT SHE IS NOT A NURSE. Nor she will ever be one.

  5. She isn’t remorseful because she did this stuff. She’s remorseful over the fact that she got caught and lost her job and husband over it. What kind of repugnant, low life sack of shit do you have to be to steal from and take advantage of a severely mentally ill patient while being trusted with their care? Disgusting. I think she deserves a much harsher punishment than a divorce and losing her job.
