Good in most regards, but the other week I was at Bristol v Sunderland, and when Sunderland scored our second goal, the crowds going mental and a group who were near where the players were celebrating have caused an advertising board to fall over. That group have then spilled over onto the pitch and stewards grabbed several of then and took them away.
Hardly their fault they ended up there so I hope they didn’t get bans for that. Because if so that’s stupid
I mean, they’ve failed to ‘kick out’ racism and sexism, not sure I believe anything these people have to say.
Just another tick in the box. Talking to talk, but not walking the walk.
Drug takers? That’s half the premiership fucked then
Football banning orders are so easily got around. Do you really think the minimum wage stewards are trying to stop a handful of people among 20,000K+ trying to get into grounds? Remember that Leeds fan who ran on the pitch and attacked a goalkeeper? He was still going to games when banned.
Love to know how they’re planning on enforcing all of this. Encroaching on the playing area was *already* illegal, what are they going to do, make it super duper extra specially illegal?
All this recent media coverage is is an attempt to convince people there’s some new powers or something. It might work on tourists but the cat is out of the bag for a lot of fans now. Standard of policing at football has dipped, there aren’t the resources there were for full blown “Guantanamo” games like we had in the 00s.
The main thing that is going to change things is gas bills going up from October.
Prepare to witness the death of British Football
Premier league 🤝 punishing the working class
Who’d want to take drugs at the fucking football? You’ve plenty enough already there to get you riled up. It’s a fucking waste of cash.
Just have a beer and smash your coke after the match, which would be 10000 times more fun anyways.
Unless they’re talking cannabis. In which case every cunt there should be made to smoke at least a little on entry and the whole experience – every bit of it – would be improved for everyone.
They seem determined to kill every tribal aspect surrounding football, overreactions to people celebrating constantly, losing a lot of interest in the game personally (I know I’m not the only one.)
Yes coke use is rife at football, but no more so than any other aspect of society. I hope the same energy in cracking down on football supporters will be replicated with horse racing and Twickenham rugby. Every investment banker and Clapham Foxton’s estate agent are off their tits at Twickers.
A better way to deal with pitch invaders, is to simply dock 3 points from the team whose fans run onto the pitch.
When their own bad actions start to negatively effect the club they supposedly support and love in such a dramatic way as that, fans will very quickly stop doing anything that endangers their clubs!
Plus, the clubs themselves will invest more into their stadiums security to make sure such things don’t happen.
