We moved to Finland last spring and this is our first winter here. I love how warm the house is compared to -10,-15 degrees outside. However, we can not ventilate the house properly and the air in is quite dry. Dry to the point that we cannot sleep. We bought this humidifier, https://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/10760/kjvbs/Strome-SPS-913C-ilmankostutin
But it cannot keep the humidity up properly. I’d appreciate any recommendations on how to deal with this.

I als o moved here a couple of months and for our apartment (mostly for living room) we bought Stadler Form Oskar humidifier. The room is about 40m2 and it is working 24/7 with humidity going around 40%. Without it, it would probably be around 30% or less. It is barely going past 40%, max it got to 45% at full speed. We are contemplating of buying another one. Maybe you need something bigger and stronger too.

Be prepared to fill it constantly, like twice a day…
If you don’t already, you could hang your wet laundry to dry on a rack in your bedroom overnight.
I recently found out that cheaper models use ultrasonic technology (turns everything in the water to vapor), which creates white dust and bacteria. Opt for types that actually steam/boil the water instead.
Not related to your question but quite important.
Cut a milk carton open from the side, fill it with a water and place it on top of an radiator.
Preferably do this for all rooms.
All I have to do is boil some pasta for dinner and I get 45% humidity
I have one from Muji which works perfect
Id be scared of mold at those %s
UFOX
