1. Please note this man is part of a conspiracy group of people who believe in the great reset, think covid was a hoax, the vaccines kill people and the ware in Ukraine is another false flag to keep us under control while not “housing the Irish first”

2. The title is a bit confusing. From the video the security guard handled him very well. The charity is still opened or has it now closed down? It is a worthy cause and sometimes there is no harm in charities choosing to hone in on a community of people who need help.

5. The legal position is that it is not permitted to have a business which supplies goods only to Ukrainians.

   For the exact same reason as we don’t have pubs saying “white people only”, or Tescos with “only Irish, please” signs outside.

   I used to volunteer at a homeless organisation in Dublin which was designed to get stuff like socks and sleeping bags to homeless people in Dublin. What started to happen is that people from the Roma community would swarm us at the start of our night and relieve us of the clothes and blankets. It would have been illegal to refuse them based on their Roma-ness. So the service just stopped operating.

   The Roma community lost nothing they didn’t have before, but Irish (and other) homeless people lost a service they desperately needed.

   This guy is obviously using the law in a way it wasn’t intended to operate, and is quite an unpleasant man, but he’s absolutely right that you cannot have a “Ukrainians only” service.

   You cannot discriminate, positively or negatively, in terms of nationality, race, gender, or sexual orientation when providing a service.

9. Thr comments on this on tiktok were shocking. People giving him a pat on the back, your dead right Derek etc etc was actually disgusting to see. People giving out that there’s nothing like that for irish people I’d to remind them svp provide so much as do so many others. This was created to address a need. Volunteers went and got donations from people to help Ukrainians it was up front exactly what was happening. This is purely child throwing toys out of the pram if they’re getting a piece of cake I’m getting a piece of cake. Same people who give out about this shit are the ones who’ve never done anything to do with homelessness in Ireland, whether it be donating, volunteering or even just having a chat with a homeless person so they feel seen. This is purely down to hate and looking for a reason to push another agenda. I was fuming over this for days when I saw the video I couldn’t even watch it all.

17. Would there be a simple way around this, in that every donated item is a prize, which a needy person can have by answering a simple question (technological devices to assist being outside of the regulations)… Then have a simple question in Ukrainian?

    Theoretically doesn’t stop you or I from trying to win (nothing stopping us from learning the language) but cunts like him are unlikely to try to do any more than cheat the rules.
