This place is just down the road for me. It’s absolutely chilling that this is happening. Life at the moment feels like that bit in a disaster movie were people realise that shit is about to get fucked up. That’s not the horrific part though, the real horror is that it seems inevitable now.
This is correct but I don’t understand why Shotton is such a mess. It has one of the largest industrial ares in North Wales and is close to wealthy areas Wirral and Chester . The steel works shut 40 years ago.
At the 2019 General Election they almost voted in a Tory MP to represent them, the deluded fools:-
– Party Candidate Votes % ±%
– Labour Mark Tami 18,271 42.5 −9.6
– Conservative Sanjoy Sen 18,058 42.0 +1.6
– Brexit Party Simon Wall 2,678 6.2 N/A
– Liberal Democrats Donna Lalek 2,548 5.9 +3.5
– Plaid Cymru Susan Hills 1,453 3.4 +0.8
Fuel bills going up 80% is just nuts and that’s not even the end of it.
This winter is going to be grim and if the Tories continue to sit on their hands there’s going to be big trouble.
