I think Musk is obviously a very smart man, a very efficient businessman and has clearly a very good brain for finding and enabling skilled people but that’s about it.
I think people overate how smart he is in a global sens and should just consider him as what it is, a cocky billionair CEO with lost of personal issue.
Of course you can’t get there by being stupid as dirt obviously but the names appearing under his in SpaceX/Starlink (or wtv) board are the real experts.
But while i don’t really like people worshipping him, i don’t want to undermine his work on spatial advancement for instance either (as he clearly did his part of the job). Big money management is a huge difficulty in project this vast and allowing your chief engineers to produce quality results is not small task i suspect.
Just look our train station in Mons when we will actually have a dragonfly shaped station instead of a flying dragon one ahah and I’m sure it is still 2000 time cheaper that what those rockets cost to develop
