Hi there,
I have been recently coinciding with this type of news: [https://www.dw.com/en/cyprus-eu-urges-turkish-north-to-help-cut-migrant-arrivals/a-62180267#:\~:text=How%20do%20most%20migrants%20arrive,in%20the%20Greek%20Cypriot%20south](https://www.dw.com/en/cyprus-eu-urges-turkish-north-to-help-cut-migrant-arrivals/a-62180267#:~:text=How%20do%20most%20migrants%20arrive,in%20the%20Greek%20Cypriot%20south).
How bad is the situation over there? Are these statistics correct or the numbers are even higher? Apart from asylum seekers, are there other non-European foreigners or undocumented migrants? How Greek Cypriots are reacting to recent arrivals?

It’s not that bad. Only half of Congo is here.

Not sure about the migrants coming in from the North, haven’t really felt an increase in Limassol. Possibly because they wouldn’t be able to afford it here.
There is definitely a huge influx of Ukrainian and Russian refugees though (entering legally through CY airports). We rent out a few flats on AirBnb and this summer most bookings are not for a week long getaway but for a whole month of rent.
Walking through Molos (beach promenade) and Superhome Center (DIY home improvement store) you really notice it. Loads of people are Russian speaking and I guess they are all fixing up their new/rented flats.
