I found the most useless the product in TK Maxx, only for 24.99

  1. Quite common in Netherlands. Its used to light up a fire. Basically a piece of log cut in 4 or more overpriced af.

Its around 6-7 euro here still overpriced

  2. Nowhere near as ridiculous as the Bee Hotel I saw in Dairygold, going for a bargain at €280. Whats a Bee Hotel you ask? A load of wooden sticks and bamboo thrown together, quick where’s my wallet…

  3. I don’t think whey know what this log is used for. Probably they are selling it as a fancy candle holder otherwise it would be 4-5 euros max

  4. Stupid question how do you light them… do you put a fire lighter down the centre

(seriously thought used these as outdoor candle holders lol)

  5. These have started popping up for sale in a few places. I saw them for sale in either Lidl or Aldi there a few weeks ago. Can’t remember the price though, but I can’t imagine they were €24.99. €2.49 would be about the right price.

  6. Well some needed proof that this was actually selling for 24€. Is there something missing?

*EDIT: I believe mystery SOLVED (maybe). I reckon it’s either of two things:

    1) Possibly missing a metal wedge piece from middle, such as a “Wood Splitting -Metal Wedge”,.for splitting wood

As seen here on sale in Hardware shop in Ireland for same price, looks similar ;[https://www.handyhardware.ie/Roughneck-Wood-Grenade-Splitting-Wedge_p_53250.html](https://www.handyhardware.ie/Roughneck-Wood-Grenade-Splitting-Wedge_p_53250.html)

    OR else..

    2) A Swedish Log Candle /Torch., as seen here on [On Amazon ](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swedish-Torch-Log-Premium-Wooden/dp/B08FHBK7ZY/ref=asc_df_B08FHBK7ZY/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=463170353881&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14193756263603259199&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=20478&hvtargid=pla-954003128288&psc=1#) . Seen similar in some camping shops. (Still very over-priced regardless)

  7. I’ve seen worse in next, a shitty wonky POS hearth mantle for £600. A free outside camp fire/cooker it’s pretty simple it’s called a hole

  8. My father made 40 odd of these, over metre tall to supply the festival of the fires. We have 20 or so in our shed and we can match that price

  9. Bargain, it can be used as a chair, for weightlifting, a decoration, setting a trap, door stop, a weapon, carve some art, an ear ring, an insect house, a float, a step to reach something, kids toy, paperweight, rolling dough, tie it to your travel luggage so you recognise it instantly, make lots of toothpicks, target for axe throwing, wheel stop for a jumbo jet or simply burn it if you can’t think of what to do with it, that’s what most people do.

  10. TK Maxx in general is very overrated in my opinion. I never find any ‘bargains’ they’re known for, the only things they sell that are actually reasonable prices are brands I’ve never heard of, which kind of defeats the point of the shop in the first place
