Tesco cancels all home deliveries after suffering major ‘technical difficulties’

  1. Pretty poor by Tesco. I got an email at 6pm, an hour after my slot ended saying it was cancelled. Had tried the 0800 number and got the busy tone, no response on WhatsApp. Think it might be worth trying someone else as to not the first time they have had these issues.

  2. Didn’t even get an email. Just got a phone call from an unknown mobile number at 19:30 (which I only answered because I know their drivers sometimes phone if they’re running early/late) telling me they’re cancelled.

  3. An inconvenience for some but a major issue for those who are housebound and rely on Tesco deliveries for food. I suspect Sainsbury’s and ASDA might see a brief uptake in orders this weekend.

  4. Yeah I understand that but they’d had all day to tell me. An earlier email would have meant I wasn’t sat around at the booked time waiting for something that wasn’t going to happen.

  5. I was fully expecting my delivery to be cancelled due to this but when the doorbell rang at 5.45pm i was pleasantly surprised

  6. Vodafone are having ‘technical difficulties’ too can’t access anything account related through their site.

    Wonder if it’s connected
