  1. Ever raised a barn? our system sucks no doubt and both side of the coin need revamping but I fail to see what the op’s suggestion achieves. Owning a home is not always what it is cracked up to be either

  2. What a fucking stupid video. She should be focusing on not electing Tory governments, repeatedly, and finding realistic alternatives to those blowhards in Labour that will build council housing again, define real policies around rent controls and actually implement legislation that hinders landlord neglect. And even then, I’m not sure she realises A. Where said money to build such housing comes from and B. That governmental bodies then become essential landlords under this system. And, for all her “research”, she fails to mention that a large swathe of landlords are funds, not individuals. She poses no real alternatives or solution. She herself mentions the cost of buying a home (again, talk to government about that, its nothing to do with private individuals), yet ironically can’t put two and two together and realise that those with more money to invest in property are needed to provide housing to those who can’t meet the banks lofty requests when getting a mortgage. What if we banned people from buying additional properties beyond their primary residence? Therefore essentially eliminating landlords? What would that achieve? Focus on lobbying GOVERNMENT to do more for their people and stopping greedy, neglectful landlords. That’s THEIR FUCKING JOB.
