EE introduces speed limits for entry-level plans

  1. 100Mbps limits, so faster than most people will have on their domestic broadband at the moment and unlikely to be noticeable.

This seems like a lot of fuss over nothing.

  2. >However, a recent study by RootMetrics revealed average EE 5G speeds to hover just above 100Mbps. This finding is also backed by previous independent reports.

    >As a result, the new speed limit is unlikely to have a noticeable effect for most customers.

  3. im on “three” and i cant get anything above H+ where i live. so.. yeah, minimum speed? id be happy with ANY speed..

  4. Nothing wrong with this tbh. Those that don’t use mobile data for much (WhatsApp, weather) are able to use these plans, freeing up bandwidth for those that want high speeds, or low latency usage.

  5. as a former three AND asda mobile customer, i believe mobile networks are introducing measures to try and force customers to leave their low-end contracts. prices for payg sims and topup packages have literally risen 5-10x in the last year.
