  1. Yeah good luck with that one absolute lost cause.
    Suppose things just need to sound good and not actually be effective though so they might whittle on about something they have no clue about and get some positive press.

  2. Agreed. It’s important to protect children from the harms of the Internet.

    We have a watershed for TV, so it makes sense to have one for the Internet as well.

  4. If we’re trying to emulate China so much maybe we should call it Hadrian’s Firewall.

    It’s probably going to be as effective as Hadrian’s Wall is today anyway.

  5. TikTok does something similar, it suppresses certain key words and content due to “sensitivities” and “harm reduction” but all it does is makes it difficult for the people to communicate while at the same time they’re promoting far right content.

    Same is going to happen here.
