When did Brennans move to a plastic wrap??? Surely this is a backward step? Or am I wrong?

  1. Lads when did Brennans move from wax paper to plastic bags? And weird crap plastic at that….Tesco delivered Brennan’s as a swap on the online order and the whole family is weirded out by the new wrap….also surely the paper was better for the env but possibly not

  2. Does that say 100% recycled or recyclable on the back of it?

Waxed paper you definitely can’t recycle

  3. It’s recyclable and duly in that bin but so many don’t bother and I suspect now that the paper which would degrade will be replaced in landfill by this crap

  4. Has been like that for years. Presume it’s like the milk cartoon variety of paper/plastic. Tetra, goes with paper.

  5. Is it different shaped pans? That’s a “Toast” pan while the wax one is not. The wax one goes in my food bin.

  6. I’m also sure that’s a toast pan not their regular sliced pan, it will be thicker and designed to be used to make toast. Seen that in tesco today along side the regular wax paper brennana

  7. That’s just for their square “toaster friendly” slices.

The waxed paper wrapped loaves are still for sale. you obviously shop in the evening when all that is left are the weird square slice loaves.
