  1. Hi all, the district I’m in only does Internet copper connections and this plug seems to corrospond to sunrise modem help sheet BUT left plug says TV / right side say R ( assuming that’s radio. Can someone tell me if this is the correct plug for dsl or….

  2. yeah you need a RJ11 or RJ45 port. if you dont have one you’ll need to ask a electrician to wire one up for you. He will connect a U72 cable to the Network copper input of your house.

  3. Are you familiar with Sunrise already? Move to Swisscom if you want to spare yourself from *most* headaches 🙂 If stability isn’t too important for you, you can consider getting cable internet too

    As others have said: RJ11

  4. Does sunrise not do the alternative via tv cable?

Not 100% sure but often when there is no ethernet or fibre you can fallback to the TV cable for your router.

  5. Neither. DSL is over the phone line. Those are (cable) TV and Radio sockets.

However if you use “DSL” as a ctach me all term, and you have got a cable modem (UPC connect box) with a coax connection than it would be the Radio connection you have to use.

If it doesn’t work it might be due the sloppy painter or because you would need a more modern outlet.

  6. Be aware of the extra cost ( like 300.- a year) for the plug
When you use another privider with the phone or ethernet connection you dont have that

  7. I’ve recently switched from sunrise dsl to hfc. I had an old socket that was giving me trouble.
After a small call with Sunrise, they put me in contact with the local cable company and they changed the socket and controlled the signal free of charge.
